I always feel its a bit unfair for us Hawaii people because by the time we wake up to see the post to comment there are already 100+ comments before us. I hope this gets read. The best headlight design (and maybe ONE of the most expensive) is the Bentley Flying Spur “Crystal” Headlights.
Biggest issue with LEAFs before 2014 is the chemistry used in the battery. Short version is heat significantly degrades the battery (not just Arizona summer heat, but even Northeast heatwave heat). The 2015 and later models had a reformulated chemistry informally dubbed “lizard cell” internally.
Depends on your individual use case. Makes a great second car for an around-town runabout. If you work at home or have a short, predictable commute, they’re great. You’ll realistically get around 50 miles of range per charge. They have good torque, decent handling, acceptable seats, and better cargo space than you’d…
I loved these commercials so much. They had a lot of fun with the marketing for the MK5 GTI. From the Fast to the VW hand sign. Where is this kind of lighthearted fun in the new commercials?
I want to build that eclipse and get the vanity plate "OHSNAP"
I think purists want to stay with all things italian. but seriously... the 2005 crossfire srt6 is an amg built vehicle. only 2200(hardtops) and 1100(convertibles) def. make them rare. 2 seat and with the appropriate mods will top 500hp. (check out needswings.com) does this get it in supercar status? prolly not. but…
It’s really hard for me to see “GMA” and not go “why the hell does Good Morning America get to do this?!”
I’m right with there my Audi B5-loving friend. I’ve been a reader here almost ten times longer than I’ve been a writer and I too am saddened by some of the comments.

Like Andy said, I definitely feel you — and that’s part of why we’re holding these Friday chats. The comments section can get extremely hostile, and we’re making a concerted effort to reintroduce that camaraderie of the past while also more actively shutting down the hate.
I know how you feel, my guy. Been here a long time myself. Hopefully those people can learn to touch grass and realize we’re all just folks who love cars!
Open letter: There are some members here (that participate often) that tend to be so mean spirited that it makes me not want to participate. I would say 85% of the comments I get from commenting to posts are positive. However there are always the ones who nit-pick at things like grammar (I had one small grammatical…
They have gig cargo nets for the bed for this kinda situation. put your stuff in, stretch the net over it all and drive away. And how it doesn’t start raining before you get home!
Not really. The only things you have to worry about are fairly light objects with a lot of surface area. So I wouldn’t transport my poster board in the bed of my truck...I’d put it in the back seat. I put groceries in the bed of my truck all the time. Even driving at 80 MPH, nothing has ever flown out of the bed. My…
Great question. I went from a Tundra to a Lexus GX and then back to a Gladiator because I missed the flexibility of a truck. For me, I can toss my mountain bike in the back of the truck, carry 5 gallon jugs of gasoline, throw some huge boxes in the back (with tie downs), carry furniture, camping furniture and a grill, …
No, that is not at all likely. I have soda cans and loose hay in the bed of my truck and the cans definitely roll around, but nothing really flies out besides any of the loose hay that catches air. up against the cab is typically the best place if you’re worried, and you can use tie downs that most trucks have to keep…
yes, you can put that all in the bed by the cab and it will not fly out on the freeway. do it all the time
Not really, but nobody would do that anyway. You’d either just toss that stuff in the back seat or have a cover of some sort for the bed, like a Tonneau or something.
Question: As a non truck person what can you put in a bed of a truck that is safe to not fly out at freeway speeds? Like if its a nice sunny day can I go to Costco and buy paper towels and toilet paper and some milk and eggs and just put it in the open bed and drive (like I would in the truck of a car/station wagon/SUV…
