I agree. Also, most likely this company doesn't only supply GM. This is equivalent to saying Apple is fully responsible (of course they are partially) for the work environment of Foxconn or other suppliers in China.
Yes. VAT at 17% makes most of the difference and it's semi-hidden since it's included in the price.
I'm a Canadian gamer and have been living in China for over 10 years. In my opinion the China market is important for both consoles but PS4 will out sell the Xbox at least at first for a few reasons:
1. Sony already has a captive market because of the past PSPs (even though it was through "grey market" sales)
Find a non-populated area. Go. Try it!
Although your response is quite reasonable and I mostly agree, I always find it funny when a comment begins with, "Without reading the article,.."
Not sure if you're actually Swedish or not, but if you are your comment fits with the known love Swedes have for strong coffee.
Are you sure? Below are some links that talk about the alleged copying of the design from the Chevy Spark.
Yeah, I didn't actually mean the Chery QQ. I don't know the actual brand for those things (Jonway?), but they just seem to always look like the shell of one. I always wondered if they were modified, ripped or stolen shells..? If they were copied, it's funny because didn't Chery get in trouble for ripping on a Chevy…
Ha! I think of that episode every time I see one of those (Chery) QQ three-wheeled monstrosities.
China is way ahead of the game, and with their wild claims it seems like they're using similar marketing methods too!
While I agree that the new middle class is generally satisfied with a Japanese brand such as the Nissan (or anything not local), I don't agree that there is much "Japan-envy" these days. Japanese cars are respected for their presence in China for as you mention nearly 30 years but that same market segment you mention…
Agreed. Working in the auto industry in China I can see that this was almost entirely a marketing decision and it's a clever one. This will be a great car for young "FuErDai" (second gen wealthy) and women here as the Mini Cooper is. That being said, Infiniti is not very well known here and the more it is known it…
FYI. The Beer Store and LCBO and the laws on how and who you can sell to is a Provincial Law. You can buy beer in a convenience store in Quebec for example.
The amount of super-cars sold in China right now is absolutely mind-blowing. 2 years ago I never saw McLarens on the road. Last year a McLaren dealer opened in the "new CBD" area and now I see them all the time! And no it is not the same one..Not to mention Maseratis are the new BMW, and can be found on every street.
If the F-22s are already sitting there and the "costs" are already borne, why not let the pilots get more experience using the Raptors? It would seem like more of a waste of resources to not utilize and show off those new (intimidating!) toys.
Cool article. It even inspired me to make the image above and I'm not usually one to do that kind of thing!
It will be a strong year, but I personally think that VW will come out on top again as they did last year. VW is acceptable for politicians as it isn't BMW or Benz. Also, the main markets now are the tier 2 and tier 3 cities in China where it's the middle class and if they can reach up to a European brand I think that…
Very well said. It is hard for people outside of China to understand the consumer mindset within China (as I suppose is the usual case of any national market). The Buick "legacy" as you said is exactly the point. It was competing in China with VW back in the day when there weren't many options and was and still is an…
Don't worry. I'm willing to bet your tiny tax contribution didn't really attribute to this video made with GoPros. You know who really finances things, corporations..
