I expanded the responses to CarsofFortLangley’s comment to see if anybody had gone exactly there. And someone did. And it was you.

We are so fucked. There are more reasonable people in this country than you might think, but there are also way more people whose vote will be swayed by bots than you think.

It’s almost as if they tested it by releasing it in a market where they already had a presence before introducing it to an entirely new market.

Interesting point, and I bet that means the fact that Kinder Eggs are meant for children did factor into the decision, even if the rule is the official reason cited.

There are definitely more of those that get cut off. For example, the sign gag below gets cut off when the episode it’s from is upscaled to 16:9

The Kinder Egg story is a little stranger than that. There is a specific FDA regulation stating that no food item can completely encase a non-food item. So, something like a lollipop on a stick is fine because the stick is only partially embedded in the candy.

I’m hoping this whole lockdown thing leads to more animated comedy taking off. Since it’s basically the only type of TV that can be produced without showing separate actors in their own homes . . .

Person of Interest was such a good show.

Because I’m procrastinating, I’ll take a moment to tell you that I think the gray/ungray approval system functions on a per-site basis, so if you’re usually ungray, and you see a gray post, it’s likely you’re ungrayed on, e.g., Kotaku but still gray on gizmodo, or vice versa.

I’ve mostly been in the house for the last week or so. Local restaurants are closing their dining rooms, but they’re increasing their to-go capabilities, and I trust a few of them to be clean enough to order from. Life won’t be all rice and beans, so that feels good.

I remember getting the Hadouken. It was really difficult to get to it, and it wasn’t all that useful, but it felt like a real accomplishment.

Maverick Hunter X is such a good game. Playing as Vile after beating it was a genius addition to it.

These violent delights have violent ends..

Sure, most of these only wind up being very fatal for the otherwise infirm, or the elderly. Still, I’d rather not catch any of them, so they can remain ‘that disease from the other side of the world’ to me.

You should probably start with Sterno Niçois, before moving on to hotter stuff.

The things I’m aware of have mostly been terrible. GTA 5's mobile phone tie-in game was a handful of very simple mini-games related to Franklin’s dog Chop. Playing with Chop in the phone app was supposed to improve the dog’s in-game stats, but he was only directly involved in a couple of missions, and outside of those

I thought Titanfall Assault was pretty awesome, and I kind of wish it could receive new life in the form of a PC strategy game.
