Sadly, for the Trump election it was largely Democratic voter apathy. They assumed precisely what you said, that there’s no way an idiot like Trump could win. That, paired with the idea of Texas always being red makes people think their vote doesn’t matter.

This is why our Hispanic and Black communities are so

Yea, peak heat index here today was 105 with the humidity topping out at 85%.

I try to go on walks everyday as some quiet contemplative time. Usually only like 1.5-2 miles around campus, but it gets damn miserable this time of the year.

To each their own, they’re both pretty damn skunky :D

The image if Melania clutching herself while trying to stay poised in her ridiculous high heels at an out door bbq is fucking priceless. I could only hope that it’d be so hot out one of them would faint. Either from the heat itself or from locking their knees while pearl clutching.

Swap to Lone Star, it’s cheaper and better. This reminds me that I need to rub some mink oil on my boots, winter really dried them out and they’re getting ashy.

I worked for a short period of time in South Korea earlier in my life for an internet company; I’ll be returning next year to teach, and if you’re uncomfortable with having your picture taken you’d flip out over some of my experiences :D

I’ve literally had people come up and rub my arms due to my dark and present arm

I’m Roma and I have a picture of myself, my mother and I, and then my mother, brother and I at the Roma memorial in Berlin when it finally opened in 2012. With the fact that 90% of our ethnic population were exterminated, we felt that it was a nice symbolic way to show to others that there are in fact some of us that

Yea, one of my shit jobs while doing uni. was tech management for Verizon Business in the early 2000s. Not only are you dealing with egos, you’re dealing with the fragile egos of megalomaniac man-children nerds who spend more time demanding respect than earning it. It was a weekly if not daily occurrance for someone

Was going to reply with the same thing. I’m 5'8-5'9 and I’ve never really cared about my height. I’ve done fine dating, I played sports without an issue, the only problem I tend to have is finding off the shelf clothing that fits. I’m a 34w/29L for slacks/jeans, which is tough. Torso/wingspan are far longer than

You know, over the years that I’ve been commenting on Gawker media sites I’ve noticed there’s a shit ton of hate for Texas, even though there are a lot of active users from Texas. It’s a damn shame that our state government’s infamy runs before us, and of course people’s generalized uninformed prejudice.

You know, outside of work I really don’t experience it. But I have no doubt that you are correct that it those two things can be interchangeable. I’ve had two career fields in my life, lots of shit jobs early on but only two careers. The first was in medicine where pretty much everyone I worked with kept a pretty high

Also a Texan, DFW, I’ve never witnessed this.

When I moved to take my current teaching position I got rid of my Tv. That was....six years ago? I haven’t been bothered once since then by that fact. The only time I’m reminded that Tv has commercials is when I’m on the treadmill watching Foodnetwork at the gym or in a waiting lobby of some sort.

Preach. I also keep a kirkland extra strength 500 count on my desk. Not sure when I got it, but they never fail.

This certainly isn’t my field of expertise so take this anecdotally. But generally speaking vitamins are packaged at 300-3000x the quantity you need per day. Your body literally can’t absorb the quantities that it’s given to you in. To make up for this, they overdose the amount that is needed so your body is allowed

I’ve been using a bottle of allergy relief pills that expired back in 11/11/2014. It’s still perfectly effective and I haven’t grown a third arm...yet. I usually only need one or two pills per spring/fall. Also of note, it’s CVS store brand, not that that likely matters at all.

You’re absolutely correct, that’s an error on my end typing out a quick response.

Same. At least we haven’t broke 100 where I’m at yet. 99 lots of times, but so long as we stay sub 108-110 I won’t die walking from my parking lot at work to the building :)
