It's not "different" in the sense that it's definitely similar to other RTS/City Builders I agree. But it IS different in that it's an indie game; made by one person, and the game is only like 130meg in size. One hundred and thirty megs. If we're talking about resources here, the size of banished with it's far more

Well, and that's the question I pose. Is it really a matter of ease or lack of artistic ability? Or is it that other indie games already have a similar art style that was easy to do and sold well. Setting a a low standard for the following developers who now know they can ride out a fad and still make a buck.

I agree, ease is likely a large part of the choice. But I also believe they're relying on the fact that other indie games look vastly similar and sell well, so they don't try for anything beyond what's already been established as the staple.

This game; the entire game, was made by one person. The size of the team doesn't dictate the art style.

- Side bar discussion not directly relevant to the game or video here-in.

I have to ask, what's with every indie game's need to look "retro." I completely understand that for some developers it's a matter of ease. But for what seems a vast majority of "indie" developers indie has becomes synonymous with retro.

With so many nieces and nephews, I've always been a big hit around easter by introducing the kiddos to microwaving peeps. It never ceases to entertain.

No, it's definitely there. The actress herself is 28, she's not far off Daryl's RL age. She's just tiny and cute so we assume she's far younger.

Better, but not stellar. The game is a port after all, and using an engine designed for the xbox. There was still some stuttering while driving, and some texture popping, but over all it never affected my game play.

Last I heard of any overheating problems was the first week of early access, which was fixed prior to the game's actual launch. The issue was actually with specific cards and drivers.

As the other fella said, the PC version ran perfectly fine when compared* to the xbox version.

*The xbox version had stutter issues with vehicles while driving, and popping in of textures. This wasn't a "PC" issue, it was a game engine issue.

The only thing "incomplete" in the early pc version were the controls, which had work arounds in the very first week and have since been completely fixed. That said, I completed the PC version without any bugs or complications.

After a week of inactivity it practically goes into a quasi hibernation state. Yes, stuff is still happening, but it's extremely slowed down after one week. During that week it's also getting slower by the day as well. You shouldn't be in a state of complete decay ;)

I used Rosetta stone to learn English as well. Since that time, I've used it to learn roughly four other languages as well. Granted, a few of those I knew a smattering of words to begin with; including English, but it really starts you off in a way to reinforce what you already know and build upon what you need to

As I was listening to this, I knew I had heard Leo's voice somewhere in my past but I couldn't quite recall where. Then at the end of the video when he was saying he was leaving, I remembered.

I'm not sure if it's the logical reply, but it would be categorically fitting.

Human meat is actually closer to pork than any other. Cannibals have testified to the opinion that people taste like pork as well. So you're likely not far off =)

I hadn't seen that before, I like the reference.

I can do that.... I just don't feel like it.

Yea, I read the fair use portion after I made the comment regarding porn parodies. But ultimately why it's fair use is due to the reasons I stated. But I didn't want to bother editing a post and look like I was trying to sneak anything in after the fact.

There's a lot of replies here that were definitely dismiss
