He asks about Australian aboriginals, you reply with,
"It's really dissapointing that american history teaches you so little."

I agree, it is a shame he never learned about the aboriginals of Australia.

You go on to talk about Native Americans and that, " it's actually not that surprising in retrospect that your school

Wizards of the coast has a D20 star wars game, Star Wars Saga. Alas, there are no Beast Tamers.

I'm glad I've developed a distaste for sweets as I've gotten older. Just the idea of consuming these make me cringe.

I didn't indicate this specific video was a commercial for a reason, it's over three minutes long. Instead, I made a general comment regarding not having seen commercials for the game itself.

But, I'm sure commenters who are looking for the origin of the video will appreciate the info.

In the nineties I lived in an city of eight million =P So I doubt it was "size or population," rather that the population simply didn't hold competitions =)

That's definitely possible.

I don't even bother watching for the commercials. I wait for sites like kotaku or some such other site to post the best of the commercials so I can view them at my own leisure.

I have to admit I may be slipping, I wasn't expecting people to be so overtly negative without articulating as to why in at least a semi-rational way. Maybe for a brief moment I allowed myself some hope for humanity. But it passed =)

I agree, this is a nice stepping stone for the type of hud he's looking to create.

Having orientation indicators would certainly be nice, but you're saying "none of that seemed useful." Having the floor plan alone is a step up from not having a floor plan at all, the same with having hydrant locations.

If you're so out of touch with spatial orientation that you can't determine where on a street you

I think calling it a commercial is a bit disingenuous, they aren't trying to sell anything here. They are on the other hand showing conceptualization of how a future product can be used, so I'd liken it more to being a product pitch, except that they are already making their own product.

Having a HUD that can display

So long as it doesn't obstruct his vision in what's an already low vision environment, it'd be great to see this go from conceptualization to functionality.

I can't say I recall seeing a single pokemon card game commercial in the 90's. Not that I believe I've seen every commercial ever or anything, but I can't recall ever seeing card game commercials.

Everyone? No. Employees who promote other site's posts in efforts to get readers to view the sister sites? Yes.

This isn't a promotion of the io9 post, it's practically a copied article.

You know, I can't recall what game it was, but I know there was a flying sim on PC that had the black out effect from pulling Gs. If you were going too fast and tried to turn too quickly the edges of your screen would start to go black and tunnel vision in on you, accompanied by your ability to move the stick being

I've gone for a fly along in a training hornet, but I'm also afraid of heights, so it didn't end well.

I try to not let that fear prevent me from doing things I want to do. I've done tower zip lines, and airborne school tower drops (No, I was not airborne myself it was via family members). One day I hope to gather my

Perhaps it's just me, but I've been unable to load comments on 3/4 of the stories lately without constantly refreshing the page. I've seen the same type of issue being listed on most of the gawker sites, fix this kinja shit guys.

Agreed, I'm not a part of that communitybut I watched it for several hours each day. It was interesting to see some games I never finished as a kid get destroyed.

Hence my original, "not to steal any of the thunder" indicating it wasn't a competition, merely that it can be done via altruistic means. As, I, mentioned.

But, if you really want to boil it down and ignore that I responded with a joke instead of responding to your post in kind, yes all charity is a competition.
