Heh, I remember watching the kickstarter video for this and thinking to myself, "Yeaaaaa....no."

So far I've been completely happy with my kickstarter funding choices.

-Hex
-Jagged Alliance
-Star Citizen
-Putting a Tardis into Orbit

Well, this certainly made my day a bit brighter. I won't be doing the early access, as I have a tendency to burn myself out on games that are open world. Also, I don't have a game pad. But I have definitely been looking forward to this game as a pc release.

It's not a contest, and so long as people have access to a list of these great games everyone is a winner.

How does matter, especially when those few large contributions can be pulled after the fact without ever reporting it to Ouya. Who then is handing them the same amount, but is essentially being the primary backer.

Or a trench coat, or socks and sandals w/heel straps, or mid thigh jean shorts that his tshirt is tucked into, etc, etc.

If an eagle can record things in landscape, wtf is wrong with everyone else? ;)

Honestly eating the pepper and dealing with the after effects in my mouth would be the least of my concerns.

Personally I'd dread it's exit more.

The two aren't even comparable. "Spicy" food has nothing to do with eating a ghost pepper. I've spent a good majority of my life traveling and eating "spicy" food. South American, Central American, Tai, Indian, etc. I'm good for eating any of them, and enjoying it. Ghost peppers aren't food, they're what you eat when

It's almost as if people don't have the choice to skip articles regarding topics they don't like.

You can just as easily read what Demo said as, "If this were a satirical shaming of a female, it wouldn't be defended, and we'd have people asking why it needed to be done at all, even satirically."

As someone who identifies as a geek; pre-geek chic due to age, I have an odd view on this situation.

I've always been interested in nerdy and geeky things, but I internalize those interests. It's not out of some "shame" of being a geeky guy per say, it's simply that I find it irritating to be lumped in with the people

The red lip thing must have some type of traditional back story that I'm not aware of to it. Otherwisethese are just some sadistic parents.

While I think a lot of us pc gamers may be doing that on the inside while reading this article, I highly doubt anyone really does that =) But the sentiment is definitely there regardless.

Then there's the pc gamer, who'd be depicted sitting at their desk looking at Kotaku and reading this article. Only to be reminded that he or she bought a dozen more games off steam's summer sale for $3 or so each, and that they should be working through their back log instead of wondering why people still use places

Aw poor man, how do you get by in life when you can't count?

It's nothing new, Carmack has been in this same role for a couple years now. I don't know why it's being made into a story that depicts it as something new.

Ok seriously, what the fuck is up with those pants in pic 5? Is that REALLY how to be hip and cool currently?

Because it seems a lot like any other fad. You're trying to be different by dressing just like other people who are trying to be different. Which makes it a fashion, which is WHAT THEY ARE TRYING TO AVOID!
