Ah, right! I think some of the DS games were sequels too but from what I remember a lot of those werent made by Nintendo themselves but like Capcom or something. Either way its pretty damn rare for Nintendo to do this with a Zelda game

I was kinda disappointed about the delay until I realized that it’s coming out in my best friend’s birthday and she has been obsessed with animal crossing since GameCube, it basically introduced her to video games. So now I’m happy because for once I know what to get her for her birthday. 

Complete opposite for me since we have Final Fantasy VII Remake, Cyberpunk 2077 and Watch Dogs: Legion all coming out within the same period. So Animal Crossing went from a “day one” to a “wait until the dry patch of summer” purchase.

I was so hoping this’d be followed in the direct by like, a Rare Replay announcement, or even just Nuts and Bolts/Viva Pinata.

Nah, we have a set date and a game that looks like a lot of big changes have been implemented so we know it is worth the wait. If it was same old animal crossing and we had that delay there would be some belly aching.

Breath of the Wild is literally the best selling, and arguably the most well-received (maybe second after OoT) Zelda game in history. There is absolutely no way Nintendo wasn’t going to capitalize on its success with a sequel.

I so badly hope this is the general mood of the sequel because I am getting massive Majora’s Mask vibes and am always here for the darker Zelda entries.
