We live in western NJ, where our population density is under 180 per square mile. We drove an hour+ into NYC yesterday so our boys could chase Electrobuzzes around Central Park in the pouring rain. I have no idea how anybody in VERY rural areas has anything more than a Ratata/Pidgey/Weedle army.

Except that the in-game tracker was NOT cheating and was a big and important part of the game. With that disabled, you need SOMETHING to track nearby Pokémon.
