Inquisition was the first Bioware game I couldn’t make myself finish, and I’ve done so for pretty much every RPG they developed since Baldur’s Gate (exceptions are that weird Sonic game and the smartphone stuff). Superficially DA:I had everything, but it felt... soulless.

It’s only been six months? Bioware managed to cram in a solid two years of disappointment in six months. That’s efficiency in game design right there.

First off, little kids are more impressionable than adults. Children doing something because they saw it on TV and haven’t yet developed a sense of reality vs. fiction is very different from adults being influenced to violence by media. Which data shows doesn’t really happen all that often!

Was that sort of language commonly used by the staff in the school where you worked? Poor kids.

Studies repeatedly show that there is no causal link between video games and violence. You’re anecdote is both meaningless and probably innacurate.  If its so long ago that you can’t even remember the right decade, how can you trust that you even remember the events?

Speaking as someone who’s used the GameCube controller since Melee, the GC controller doesn’t really have any advantage over the Pro other than familiarity. I’ve actually come to enjoy the Pro a bit more for its more uniform button design. Some special moves like Dedede’s hammer can be charged while still moving…

I just use the Switch Pro Controller (with tap jump disabled). I’ve considered getting a Gamecube controller for the different button sizes but frankly I don’t think I’m good enough for that to matter.
