I think it’s just because it’s more of an incremental improvement - the first Mario Maker was revolutionary, the kind of thing that people had been dreaming about for years. And that led to people talking about it for a long time.

I have my own account, and a child account for my son. I’ve been careful to purchase titles from the eShop for the “intended” account. Sounds like that’ll help, somewhat, but not alleviate all the issues. The bigger help will probably be my insistence on going cartridge whenever possible.
