This is a common fallacy. AWD do not stop better than any other kind of car. What makes the difference is the braking system itself, the brakes, tires and skill of the driver.

I’m not sure if I 100% agree with the pickup-in-the-snow comment. Yes, the weight balance is not as good, but I currently have a pickup and an alltrack, both of which run snow tires. I find the truck to be better in the snow because of weight. The rear has a limited slip to deal with any traction loss but the truck…

Such a wild interaction... PIT maneuver for a routine moving violation. A terribly executed maneuver at that - the cop slows down after contact which causes the woman’s vehicle to collide with the center barrier rather than spin as intended.

Also, his life is the one she was looking out for. She probably wasn’t going to be the one getting out of her car and standing on an Interstate.

Not to mention now they’re blocking the entire lefthand side of the highway when they could have been pulled over on an off-ramp or large shoulder on the right where people expect cars to be stopped.  Him enforcing a speeding ticket that puts nobody in danger just put everyone on that entire highway in danger.

And they murder people regularly with the same excuse of “I felt threatened”, except in her case it wasn’t only accurate, but in the cops’ best interest in terms of safety! He’s the asshole who would be standing prone to traffic after all.
