You know what is missing in this story? The fact that people still call the police. Never, ever, ever, call the police. You and your loved ones are in danger of being killed or jailed just for assuming that you, if you are black or brown, can use the armed State militia to help you. You can’t. You call and YOU are

I live in Chicago. On Everyblock (a hyperlocal social network) a neighbor who lives near a high school told about finding a gun stashed in one of her shrubs. She called the police who came by and picked it up. One of the officers told her it wasn’t uncommon for kids who were carrying to hide their weapons nearby for

I couldn’t agree more. There really needs to be a cleansing in the way police operate with the public and their overall power structure. A lot of the mess starts with the all too powerful unions they have. They literally can commit murder and their batshit crazy union chief backs them up wholeheartedly

“this is why people apply to be police officers in the first place.”

Stopping someone who’s running is unreasonable search and seizure anyway. It’s not evidence of a crime, it’s evidence of not wanting to be near the Police.

This is infuriating. I’m going to guess that even if a federal judge rules that there is a clear cut case of corruption that everyone these officers arrested in their career history won’t get their cases reexamined.

if you want spec car racing, race in a spec class.
if you want different cars with different strengths to compete, set some maximum allowable parameters (intake diameter, tire size, frontal area minimum, weight minimum) and let them run.
BOP is inherently stupid as it is easy to game and punishes those who build a

Nope...definitely looks like a case of the right tire being 1.5psi low.

I’d rather get a Lotus Carlton if I’m getting a 90's performance sedan. Currently old enough for import (90-92) and at one point was the fastest sedan in the world.

That’s impressive, I haven’t heard that, but as a millenial, the Mrs. and I are doing our best to not carry debt, or at least be no where close to underwater. I did a 5yr loan on my truck (2yrs old when I bought it), but it was only because I put $15k down, had a 1.5% interest rate, knew I’d pay it off faster and

I hope that magistrate enjoys she new Elise!

The problem is that “rich” has become synonymous with “makes more money than I do.”

Gawker commentators have been really angry at anyone living above lower middle class lately. Just the other day a guy got a ton of hatred on this site for giving money to charity.

I love all the rich guy equals light sentence comments. I’m not rich, but when I was nabbed for 20+ over (speed trap on an interstate), I asked for defensive driving and received it. No dings on my license and I just had to pay for the class and court costs. Everyone in the courtroom was doing the same thing....

Wow. People are more mad at this guy than I would have thought. This is the kind of mad lad CEO that makes me want to buy his products!

So you still paid less than this guy and didn’t get a 30-day driving ban.

This act alone makes the current Lotus CEO infinitely better than the previous one....

When asked by the judge “what do you do” the CEO answered with the cunning:

i’m surprised there even IS a 70mph zone in england.
