Too many auto-playing ads. 

WHY ARE “RECENT VIDEOS FROM DEADSPIN” AUTO-PLAYING. MAKE IT STOP. I AM SO FUCKING DONE JESUS FUCKING CHRIST QUIT RUINING DEADSPIN.

I know this will seem politically incorrect and I will face the wrath of the entire US population — which, Hi Population! — but as a matter of principle I have to say, Yuan Fang sounds like a dumb douchebag.

The idea that corporations are accountable only to their shareholders is very nice in the abstract but leads to grotesque rent-seeking in the long run, which is exactly what has happened in the intervening half-century.

On one hand, you have the Chinese government who wants the ability to extradite residents of Hong Kong with no oversight. The same Chinese government that regularly disappears people in it’s custody, and is running literal concentration camps for ethnic minorities and political dissidents.

This argument sucks, man! George W. Bush isn’t a lost child; he was the president. He saw photos of the torture, from the man who approved of that torture, and then he stood up for that guy. I linked to this in the blog, which I’m now not sure you fully read.

Dunno, that’s a pretty basic one right there. You want to be salty and pissy and not even extend the courtesy of a handshake, then yeah, I’m fine with Sherman’s reaction. Sherman didn’t do the equivalent of throwing a fastball at someone’s head, he just said it motivated him. Nothing to see here.
