FUEL CELL? I’m assuming this is a version of the solid oxide fuel cell they have been working on. Why don’t you mention this in the article title or line one of the article. Or somewhere in the article. Good grief. Article says “generator” which implies a piston engine.

Also, a pop out battery is not just a daily life extender. Every single smart phone I've had, Motos and Samsungs, the batteries failed at under 2 yrs. Pop in a new $15 battery and you have basically a new phone. Replacing a built in battery is closer to $100 and you have to send your phone in. Or replace your $1000

I could probably lose the mSD card slot, with 64gb built in, without wringing my hands. The battery on the other hand . . . with a smaller built in battery . . . that's a problem. Now we are down to the iPhone opportunity charge dance, huddling on the floor near outlets at the airport, shlepping around a battery

Have mixed it cold for years. Never found hot or warm water to be necessary in the least. Just cool filtered water. Some air space in the jar helps agitation a whole lot when shaking. I shake initially for only about 20 sec. Let it sit for a minute or two, it will continue to dissolve. Then shake another 20 sec.

I guess I don't know why telling someone how productive you've been is less of a brag than telling them how busy you are. Rather the reverse.

Universal law of fans: the smaller the fan diameter, the louder it will be at a given air flow. No really.

Medical testing (along with everything else to do with medicine) is so outrageously overpriced going through the normal channels - this has got to be ripe for disruption through new tech.

Airplanes are filled with thousands of gallons of gasoline, and miles of electric wiring and thousands of connections that could short. And oh by the way, engines that catch fire. And thousands of planes have caught fire and burned and crashed due in one way or another to those hazards. But let's blame lithium

Here's a conundrum: if you have completely switched your cell phone over to your Google Voice number, there doesn't seem to be any way to enable 2-step authentication on your Google account! Google says not to use your GV number. You need a phone number that is not tied to your Google account, which of course your GV

Not unusual, and what this is pointing to is that in this world of amazing cameras, and phones in every pocket that take great video, most of us don't have any recordings of our loved ones actually saying anything interesting or meaningful. Maybe we don't have any recording of our parents or grandparents voices at

I have to think along similar lines - I will always always have a serious dedicated camera, but it would be far more natural if it had full boat Android OS on it like the GalaxyNX. I happen to be kind of invested in Sony NEX & lenses but if camera makers want people to keep buying cameras as separate from phones, more

I have two Win 7 htpcs, love them, used them for like 8 years. But I would take issue with a lot of things I see about tiny quiet pc's making great htpcs. In my experience it takes horsepower to run. Unless you just don't care whit about HD video, I guess. Win 7 is arguably the best OS to use, but it needs a min. of

You get more done, but you maybe do a lousy job. Probably not worth the discomfort. Plus they say you ought to get up and move around at regular short intervals if you have a sedentary job. Also drinking plenty of fluids to keep your system flushing is supposedly better for you, which dovetails nicely with taking

I absolutely hate to use on the phone with my left ear. Had no idea there was some kind of physiological explanation for this.

Yes. They call it hyperlapse too, saw it only days ago. Not sure what the connection is between MS and Inst./FB, didn't think there was one.

Murphy's.

What? You need this special ferro rod thing and cotton balls soaked in Vaseline! Your title implies that you can start a fire with a knife i.e. just a knife.

And on a fast internet connection, IDK, maybe google fiber? And even then youtube way over compresses everything. Even this in 1080p on Youtube has tons of block artifacts. Why don't they first solve the problem of just put up a 1080p that looks as good as a bluray? No business going to 4K when you haven't even

Is it just me, or does it seem like about 95% of all the dietary prescripts and fads making the rounds for the last 100 years or so are bunk? Vitamin supplements (might well be worse for you than healthy.) The relation of saturated fat, or even fat in general, to heart disease (its seems there really isn't one.)

I'm guessing the best mechanical cooling method might be similar to how a propane fridge works, which are quite common for cabins, rv's, boats. Rather than having an electric compressor, the heat drives an ammonia expansion/condensation cycle, this is fairly easy to google. Any source of heat can be made to work.
