Yeah, well... The Fox Engine was built from scratch to be fully multiplatform and performant, up to and including running on the last gen consoles, whereas Decima was built mostly from scratch as a PS4 exclusive, so I very much wonder how far it can be pushed in a PC port. I guess the very simple PS4 architecture and

This one has been a bit of a roller coaster. Back when it was first announced they vaguely said it would be on PC. And I believe at one point is was being promoted as a “first on PS4" game but then they stopped talking about a PC release and sometimes the box art would be shown off with the PS4 Exclusive flag on it.

Odd time to announce, days before the actual PS4 launch. I was already in a wait and see mode, but maybe I’ll just do the PC version.

This just made me realize just how SOON it’s coming out. Holy hell... the biggest mystery is about to be revealed. Will it be great, or will it be an absolute flop? I’m so intrigued.

More platforms = more sales = more money for Kojima to do the horror game we’ve all been waiting for since the release of P.T.
I can’t wait for Death Stranding, but damn.. He needs to make a horror game with Del Toro and a side of Junji Ito

While I do have a PS4 Pro, I do most of my gaming on my PC, so that makes me really happy.

It sucks that we have to wait almost a year but hey, good on Kojima bringing it to PC. Its going to be an absolutely beautiful game.

Im super glad about this, but also miffed that i will have to spend 9+ months avoiding spoilers like i did with FF15. I might just say fuck it this time and follow Tim Rogers's friend's path of watching the cutscenes and divesting the story of the gameplay.

I mean, a lot of those are saying “she resigned, but all the men who have openly broken the law and assaulted women get to stay wtf?!" which is...fair.

The affair was inappropriate and may be grounds for resignation - I don’t think there’s much to defend there.

There’s distinctly a difference between sexual assault, and a consensual relationship with a subordinate. Not to say the affair is excusable - I do think there should be consequences for that, I’m not convinced it should be resignation, but she's really stepping down oved a humiliating and offensive campaign from her

With the exception of Roxanne Gay’s take (which is on brand for her but not on target for this conversation) I see the outrage in these tweets focused on the fact that men who have done far worse are still in office.

You realize that only one of the tweets you just linked somewhat supports what you claimed, and that the rest are pointing out the hypocrisy in Hill resigning over this matter while many men, often Republicans, have never faced repercussions for similar/worse transgressions, right?

Yup, hypocrisy abounds!

I’m a feminist myself and I’m a bit mystified.  Yes, her husband sounds like a piece of shit, but “my husband is a piece of shit” doesn’t excuse bad behavior any more than “my wife is a frigid bitch” excuses male bad behavior.  Nobody should have a romantic or sexual relationship with someone at work that they are

I assume the challenge in thinking is that there is also a revenge porn aspect. I can think it was bad that she had an affair with a subordinate and also think her ex-husband is a scum bag who should be prosecuted for leaking nude photos of her. But not everyone can hold multiple truths.

We will have to see if there is anything truly corrupt happening that we are not yet aware of (I don’t think so but who knows). This inappropriate relationship feels like the sort of thing that would necessitate censure and losing committee appointments but not resignation.

I’m perplexed at all the “double standard” cries from ostensible feminists on Twitter about how unfair she’s being treated over “consensual” affairs. She had sex with subordinates; feminists have argued for years this creates a power imbalance that calls into question how consensual said relations can truly be. Why

Ugggh. So her soon to be ex-husband choreographs a revenge porn campaign against her, and she resigns her position. Ugh.
