Actually I believe it’s more plain and common ignorance than specific racism. It’s in a “why would I need to know about other cultures if I already know ‘Murica must be the best of them all?” kind of way. Racism needs a reason why you don’t like other people, ignorance doesn’t.

I am not a fan of shows like these using sound stages. They always look way too unnatural and the lighting aswell is always unnatural looking. They have these cheesy nineties vibe (and with the addition of HD this only looks worse than back then). One of the reasons why I like the Netflix Marvel shows.
