if you ever come try the food, you will love it . its not great to the EYE...but believe me ..you will love it.

oh ok good point.. i didnt know there was a subculture coming from the slavery times. about the music etc i did know.. and well about the food never knew anything besides the usual fried chicken jokes. slavery in my country was rampant too up to the 1800 but was mostly black and chinese. being most of the slaves

well yes i used it since there is no other word to describe people of the united states.. like what will you call them? see? there is no other word thanks to the name of the country. But its not that we see north america , central and south america as 1 continent...it is 1 continent. And as was discussed before

dont get me wrong im not against someone who identify him or herself as something more then american at all. im just curious about the use of the term for people when they express themselves about someone else. like when you hear the news..or when someone its speaking about an asian guy or black person. to me its

yes im very aware of that story but too me i see it as a way of disregard them as americans i mean.. its like if they were not fully americans... its totally my personal perception mind you .. its like where are you from? american... what race are you? black.. for me its like the african american sounds out of

thanks for the info.

fair enough but what about when you or others refer to other people? for example black or asian people? call them asianamericans or africanamericans or just black and asian?

yes it is fair dont get me wrong it was just a curiosity, its just to give as an example sometimes you see the case of black people being called by others africanamericans..yet they are like the 10th generation born in america. its like the term warped to just being use as a *politically correct* race description.
