Suarez could have been sent off late for a rather obvious simulation in the box.

...you also have to consider in the Suarez factor. He might score 50 goals or just as likely he might utter a racial slur to Vincent Kompany and get banned 10 matches.

I'm just pointing out that when people do that, they tend to ignore other calls that went against the other team. Liverpool played well, thus deserving of a point but unfortunately things didn't fall their way.

Go fuck yourself!

I'm an Arsenal supporter but I'll admit it's really only between Man City and Chelsea at this point. Arsenal and Liverpool lack the quality and depth to compete over a full 38 rounds.

That's assuming there weren't any bad calls that went against Man City and they didn't blow any scoring opportunities. I support Arsenal and if you ask me every match, there's like 5-6 blown opportunities that clearly should have won the match for them. Then again, since I'm biased, I intentionally ignore those same

But, as both Liverpool and Chelsea have proven this year, they can be contained with the right tactics.

Yeah because Liverpool was the only team in this match who got a questionable call that didn't go their way.

...that's still not as bad as losing to Georgia Southern.

He dove to avoid the challenge (there's a difference between diving to simulate and diving to get out of a challenge, see Eduardo's injury in 2008 as to what happens when you go into a tackle like that), you notice Howard didn't really complain much, he knew bad things happen when you leave your feet like that.

Now playing

...okay, I'm sorry, that type of challenge didn't end a career. Technically Eduardo came back about a year and a half later.

...not exactly. See Florida football.

True story: he actually took them to TWO Rose Bowls.

This one is clearly a red card, if a defender did that, he'd be sent off too.

Soccer isn't like hockey, a good goalie is more the equivalent of a place-kicker in football. He's very good but ultimately it's the outfield players who make the difference.

A straight red was appropriate in this case. a) he denied a clear goal-scoring opportunity (which itself merits a red card) and b) it was a very dangerous challenge, that's the type of challenge that can end a player's career. I have no sympathy for Howard in regards to the card, a veteran player like him should

So basically they took a design for soccer uniforms and stuck the logo on hockey-style. Those are two winning sports in the US, might as well bite off them.

Some say it's marketing, I say it's paying homage to Patrick Ewing.

Agreed, same to you!
