The whole MOVE saga is beyond fucked, that was actually the *second* major gun battle between the cops and that group, in the first one in the late 1970s, a cop died. In the second one, where the cops bombed the house they made a choice to let it burn and it took out 61 houses. The city then totally fucked up building

“We’re talking to our lawyers about how we can get everyone to tell a lie that won’t be contradicted by any pesky evidence.”

Translation: “We were all so hammered we can’t remember getting home ourselves.”

Defund the police.

In 2-4 weeks:

Also, they bombed a black neighborhood that one time.

“As for why the officer was apparently drunk . . .”

Yep. They’re all “not sure” until the stories get straight.

Campbell was charged with driving under the influence, aggravated assault and criminal mischief. He was released on the condition that he doesn’t drink or drive.

The Philly FOP is one of the very worst police unions in the country - they have a long and shameful track record of defending guilty officers to the end, no matter how terrible their crimes are - corruption, murder, police brutality, racism, excessive force, DUI, official misconduct, theft, shakedowns, you name it.

Screw that. Keep him locked up until trial. When a cop drinks, drives, and does double the speed limit in a residential area, I don’t then afford them the trust to take them at their word when they say they won’t continue to drink, drive, or both.

It’s OK, he agreed not to drink and drive.  So I’m sure there’s no way this will ever happen again, apparently the only problem was nobody told him that before.

He should have called...

Translate: “We’re not sure which alibi we’re going with yet but we want to make sure we all pick the same one this time.”

Suspect: “Your Honor, the roof of the house was black, so I feared for my life.”

Allegedly.

I’m talking to my folks here, and they’re still not sure whether [Campbell] was here or not.”

I had to check that this had indeed just happened.

Easy fix.

Surely, if cops get special training that allows them to drive safely while consulting electronic devices, they can be trained to drive safely while drunk?
