Oooh! Also, if non-humans from the US count, then we can add Mars too.

True; we did plant a flag. I'm pretty sure that's how that works.
Except now, when you say "I discovered a local coffee shop" no one in their right mind believes you went in and planted a flag. They know you "discovered" a place previously unbeknownst to you specifically and will be interested. If the same "discovery" had taken place back then, you would have begun running the place…
This is completely sarcastic, right?
Actually.. yes. That really bothered me about the movie. I didn't give a shit about the fact that [end of movie spoiler]. What bothered me was that it didn't happen sooner, or like he mentioned that the fight wasn't taken to the goddamn moon or the ocean or the Sahara desert or wherever else because all of Metropolis…
I actually thought the ending in the movie made more logical sense than the one in the graphic novel, although that could be just because the one from the novel was so ridiculous. Then again, maybe it made perfect sense for its time..?

The Doctor's treatment of her during the scene where they actually got married was so abrasive it took me out of believing every…
Had it not been for one piece of sound advice I couldn't have finished them either: skip the songs and the genealogies. The story is great and the characters are great but at the end of the day it was written by a linguist so.. yea. The Hobbit was definitely an easier read; LOTR you just need to know how much to skip…
That was exactly my thought as well. She never had to go into the Tardis to get it because she carries it with her in her bag.
Yep, I'm pretty sure geology works in such a way that it only takes 40 days and 40 nights for methanotropic bacteria to hollow out a space ten meters tall and six meters wide... SCIENCE!
Unfortunately, many seemingly significant situations and sacrifices ultimately have no consequence for the wider universe. That's just life.
