Kara was around 12 or 13 and Clark was a baby when their rockets left the exploding Krypton. Clark landed on Earth and grew up to be Superman, whereas Kara’s ship was caught up in a space bubble and came to Earth once Clark was already grown up. Kara during the trip had not aged at all.
