Meanwhile for that poor person who didn't pay attention to the news about traffic being blocked and is late for work...they get one of the better (IMO) and unique excuses to call into their boss for being late..."Sir, I can't get to work in time because there's a space shuttle blocking my drive."

He's not saying never ever buy it. He's said wait for people outside of MS to play around with it for a while, and every argument he made is valid. It wasn't cause "it's not Apple". Its because there will be plenty around, you should be able to live without it for a couple days before those initial reviews ensure

I'm betting basically an iPad 2 with a 7.85" 1024 × 768 screen and 16 GB for $300. MAYBE upgraded camera optics and such. Similar versions and pricing structure as the current iPads ($100 each time you double the disk space, $130 for the Cellular). iPad 2 going away or staying...not sure. That's a toss up. But a

It all still remains to be seen, but I don't see how a lack of a "retina" display would deter a common first time tablet consumers from buying it...and most readers of tech blogs are not in the "common consumers" category...we pay attention to the minute details of things and can spit off MHz, RAM, and PPI for

So...Ramona is getting back together with evil-ex #2?

Exactly my thought when I first saw it. Assuming they are both probably filmed in the same area (Vancouver), it would make sense. I don't know for sure where both were filmed though.

Actually that may not work with lightning. The cables have a new authentication chip that they are saying will be hard to duplicate cheaply, so there may not actually be any REALLY cheap alternatives, at least not for a while.

My favorite part was the opening login that allowed you to sign in via facebook. Just a bit ironic.

It didn't stop every other phone that came out this last 6-9 months or so from having their benchmarks features compared to the iPhone 4S. Turnabout is fair play.

The $30-$50 internet connection through whoever you want, which if you go through the cable company for that as well, will likely be on top of the $100 you pay for just cable (at least some of the upper level packages with HBO, Showtime, etc)

I think the 8 years is referring to them being together for 8 years in the show's timeline. This is season 8, and at least a year of time we didn't see, like when Dean was playing house with Ben and Lisa, and maybe some others.

Exactly what I was going to bring up, though at this point, since they've just been refreshed hardware wise and Mountain Lion is released, the MacBook Air/Pro lines are pretty safe. I would hold off for a iMac or Mac Mini, at least until a hardware refresh hits for them. And if you're going Mac Pro, you have money

And AT&T gets hit with this when? How about for iOS? I see it refers specifically toward apps, however why couldn't it be interpreted that the built in functionality of a device's OS be considered an app. Is the calendar an app? Is the phone an app? Stocks? and so forth. Its all the same 1s and 0s going over

That quote needs to be made into a t-shirt

Or Android users have to spend more time and effort trying to make their phone look pretty and useful and are constantly having to tweak it, while iOS users generally don't have to bother with all of that and spend more time actually using the phone for how its intended.

HD radio?

Go read the article I first linked to again. It explains why they made the 30 pin connector to begin with.

As far as the EU compliance, all iPhones sold in the EU comes shipped with this thing that makes them compliant. No special permit involved.
