I think the 8 years is referring to them being together for 8 years in the show's timeline. This is season 8, and at least a year of time we didn't see, like when Dean was playing house with Ben and Lisa, and maybe some others.

Exactly what I was going to bring up, though at this point, since they've just been refreshed hardware wise and Mountain Lion is released, the MacBook Air/Pro lines are pretty safe. I would hold off for a iMac or Mac Mini, at least until a hardware refresh hits for them. And if you're going Mac Pro, you have money…
And AT&T gets hit with this when? How about for iOS? I see it refers specifically toward apps, however why couldn't it be interpreted that the built in functionality of a device's OS be considered an app. Is the calendar an app? Is the phone an app? Stocks? and so forth. Its all the same 1s and 0s going over…
That quote needs to be made into a t-shirt
Or Android users have to spend more time and effort trying to make their phone look pretty and useful and are constantly having to tweak it, while iOS users generally don't have to bother with all of that and spend more time actually using the phone for how its intended.
HD radio?
Go read the article I first linked to again. It explains why they made the 30 pin connector to begin with.
As far as the EU compliance, all iPhones sold in the EU comes shipped with this thing that makes them compliant. No special permit involved.
They want more space and/or a different configuration on this one. As I said earlier, the longer they wait to change it, the more its going to hurt and piss people off. They're gonna have to change it sooner or later. Is there a significant reason to wait until next year when it'll likely be a less significant…
Unfortunately we're quite a ways I think from completely eliminating physical cables. Yes we should be heading there, but until there is some widely available, simple to setup, standard wireless solution to connecting devices to a computer, it won't happen. Bluetooth could, but its not extremely efficient or on many…
Yes its better. And with a 19 pin connector it will still be better. Here's a good article explaining how it works and why dropping to a smaller 19 pin connector won't really disrupt capabilities of the connector:
#1 and #3, texting should be fine. Maybe for #3 if its a close friend and benefits have come into play, a phone call or discussion may be needed depending on how badly you want to keep the rest of the friendship intact.
Why is there never any rum?
Superman definitely doesn't need any more origin stories being made into a movie for a LONG time. Between 10 years of Smallville, the other Superman movies, the cartoons, and culture in general, if someone doesn't at least get the gist of Superman's story at this point, they probably aren't going to see the movie…
The avatar pics need to be made bigger (for mobile touch interface at least) and not faded. Something needs to be done about handling avatars with nearly all white. They are hard to see sometimes which could lead to missing some comments. Maybe a drop shadow or a black border around them?
As a smoker myself, I agree there is much more than just the chemical dependence, and while there are still behavioral habit to change, removing the chemical dependence would make it that much easier to break those behaviors than trying to change your habits while having a nic-fit from hell.
Me and my visual effects lab group did this in college only with video. Basically took stationary video of a location for about 10 seconds. Then run it through an algorithm to average out all of the pixels. Anything moving went away.
Or they'll kill us
Is that like how someone in the 70s or 80s said the most we'll ever need is 1 MB RAM (or something to that effect)
Using your smart phone makes you forget how to count?
