I was horrified by the title and then immediately realized it was misleading.

We are thinking of the children, we are teaching them to respect other creatures.

Even Donald Trump’s daughter is involved in the family business. Reevaluate yourself when Donald Trump has better views of women than you.

Yes. I’m only allowed to complain about one thing per year, and this is my thing.

This. It’s Full House rebooted- if you had high expectations of it, your disappointment is purely your own fault. PG entertainment (and entertainment doesn’t mean that it’s high quality) with a lot of nostalgia and maybe a fleeting glimpse of the innocence you once had when DJ got her first kiss.

From what I’ve read (not much) it seems like this is what they were going for... like it is supposed to feel EXACTLY like the original in every cringe-worthy detail, and take you back. YMMV?

I totally agree. So many people are like “agh this show is awful!” and it’s like “yeah... it’s always been awful. what did you expect?” It’s not like it was some sophisticated art or something. It was a corny family sitcom. Why are we so shocked that the reboot is another corny family sitcom? What were we hoping for?

Full House was always corny. Fuller House is the same corniness with jokes appropriate for modern time.

I wouldn’t pay for my children attend a university that allowed students to carry guns on campus. No way. The biggest danger with this policy isn’t mass shooter scenarios, it’s bitter break-up, bad grades, horrible roommate, sports rivalry, drunken shenanigans, etc.

well, gaga’s was hell of a lot more theatrical and she also did multiple songs. one can like both. doesn’t have to be one or the other.

Honestly, I think it’s because as a female you are worried you’ll be judged if you don’t show up. Dudes just take for granted that they can stay home when they are sick, their kid is sick, or it’s dangerous to travel.

I don’t think you’re overthinking this; I 1000000% agree. This makes me super uncomfortable too. I can’t imagine living through sexual abuse only for my experiences to be used as a prop in an internet meme. Even though it’s mocking Josh (which I’m quite fine with!) it diminishes the sisters’ personhood and experiences.

Dude. That’s some fucked up reasoning right there. What she does on film has no bearing on what she consents to in real life. And you absolutely don’t have the right to do anything to a sex worker that she doesn’t want you to do (that’s rape, apparently you need that point it clarified).

I don’t know, I’m kind of uncomfortable making his sisters a part of an Internet meme, even if it is to make fun of him for being a hypocritical asshole. They’re victims of childhood sexual abuse in a cult that has told them from birth that they are worthless because of their gender.

sex workers can be raped too...

I still believe the hell out of her.

they’re posting about 3 articles for every gawker one.

FYI, folks who haven’t pushed a baby out: my shit was also wrecked, but my vag was as tight as ever after about year. I did literally nothing, too. Just, like, 2 kegels whenever I happened to read the word “kegel” in my everyday life. I’m not doubting the author’s story, just saying that there is variation.
