Yea, that's exactly the kind of stuff for which I sympathize with the athletes; a recent article about Vic Wild competing for Russia is another good example. Though, it just feels wrong to be competing for another country without having any actual ties to that country.
I understand the difficulties that some athletes face, but it just seems wrong to compete for a nation just for the sake of competition. Aren't the Olympics supposed to be about competing for a country rather than the self?

We have similar airlines in the states called "commuter shuttles". They're miserable but they're cheap. Certainly not a recommendation for a family vacation, but they have their purpose.
