I've only heard of (cheap) coffee grounds being kept in the freezer, never actual beans. My mother used to keep a tin of Folger's in the freezer (she wasn't a big coffee drinker) for long storage. It probably wasn't good for the taste but seemed to work in terms of preservation.

sometimes when I buy a bluray with subtitles of an anime, I ended up just watching the fansub version instead and only have the physical copy to support the people who made the anime.
