@Jared Kent: It's true that those who didn't play LotSB might wonder what the hell happened when they boot up ME3 and find out you-know-what.

@0825771: Yeah, those who didn't should be forced to play with 50% health, a plasma dildo as their only weapon and a bunny costume that squeals, "I don't deserve to play this" every time they suffer damage. :P

@sethmilk: That would be the PS3 version. :P

Lair of the Shadow Broker was so good that it's a tough act to follow. It provides a good sense of closure on that second act, so I imagine the last piece of DLC will be more of a teaser/bridge to ME3.

@aradin24: Are you being daft on purpose? I'm asking you in all seriousness, because I can't imagine you'd insist on questioning why people would want to participate in an innocuous, creative contest that's been a staple of Kotaku weekends for a long time.

I was hoping the Steam Holiday Sale would go out with a bang, but it's another "Best Of" selection. Can't complain, though, the deals have been amazing. (And it's just as well for my wallet that there's no new temptation to resist today.)

God forbid anyone ever did anything that didn't come with a reward.

That's a lot of originals for what was otherwise a slow week (duh). Good job keeping the articles flowing in!

@Geohound: And Americans aren't guilty of generalisation? By making this a "non-Americans vs. Americans" thing, aren't you doing the same thing you accuse the OP of doing, i.e. generalising a certain behaviour to a specific group of people?

@peterlan04: I think most people who build their own PCs have lusted after Lian Li cases at one point or another.

@GM_Pax: Well, obviously, but what I'd rather even more is to have just the right amount. ;)

@GM_Pax: All I was saying is: if you have a lot of unused space that requires you to put more fans in, why not just get a smaller case that requires less fans and produces less noise? There's no upside whatsoever to huge cases if you don't need the space.

@DreamSequence: That's going a bit far: shooting mechanics don't make a game a shooter. If a game requires you to role-play, then it's an RPG.

That's a nice New Year's present, thanks!

@deanb: Exactly. I tried to make the same point in my classic, tried-and-true, inimitable "shit i've been rambling for five paragraphs what was i trying to say again?" style.

Thanks Kotaku for the increased focus on PC gaming in the last few months, it hasn't gone unnoticed. :)

@freedomweasel: You're right, Audiotechnica make great headphones for music. I have Grado SR80s myself, I'd say both Grado and Audiotechnica belong to that "clear & precise sound" category, but neither brand would be any good for gaming. Open headphones in general aren't too recommended.

@freedomweasel: I'd be careful recommending the PortaPro, they have a very specific audio signature that will work great with certain types of music, but horribly with others (like all headphones with a strong bias towards one end of the spectrum or another).
