Gamers are so entitled and stuck in the past. No one complained when movies and music switched to subscription models, so why is it suddenly a problem for games? Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus have been hugely successful, PS Now has become more popular the past couple years, and Amazon Luna has done fairly well.

If you guys think SpongeBob running for 10 seasons is bad, look at how long Batman and Superman comics have been published (almost 100 years). No one complains about that.

Just hook up an external hard drive and swap games back and forth to the internal storage. Problem solved. With how expensive internal and external SSD’s are, I’d rather buy a 5TB external hard drive.

So you don't play PC games because they're digital only?

“You can’t trade digital games or share them with friends ... Not everyone has fast internet to download games”

I don’t get why people say the Switch isn’t portable enough when it’s about the same size as a 7" Fire tablet. Any smaller and it would be difficult to see games with console-resolution on its screen.

But the Switch is a tablet.

But you can already play the current Switch portably. And the comparison with 2DS removing 3D isn’t even fair. The 3D feature of the 3DS isn’t necessary and was just a stupid gimmick; it didn’t affect how games played. The entire selling point of the Switch is that it can easily go from TV to portable mode.

Why does the Switch have to be smaller? Isn’t it small enough already? I see people carrying around iPads no problem, and the Switch is smaller than that.

A Switch that can’t switch isn’t a Switch. Removable controllers are one of the selling points of the system. How else would you do TV or tabletop play?

Why would you have ads if you’re paying for a subscription? That's not how Netflix and Spotify work.

I don’t want a generational thing. Console generations aren’t needed anymore, they don’t exist on PC and people are fine with that. Stadia should scale as graphics tech improves.

No one wants PS Now? Great generalizing there. Plenty of people like the service, just like they like Netflix, Hulu, Apple Music, and Spotify. Subscription services offer great value for consumers.

Subscription services are standard for music and movies; Spotify, Apple Music, Netflix, Hulu, etc. are all popular because they offer a catalog of content for a monthly price. I can easily see games going the same route. We already have Game Pass and PS Now, both of which are fairly popular, and they offer great value

Its not about hardware or consoles. Don’t you guys get it?

So do you hate Netflix and Spotify because you don’t own the content?

You sound like the people who said online multiplayer would never work, or Netflix and Spotify would never be successful because people don’t want to subscribe to their movies and music.

Sony already has PS Now.

I want it because it allows me to play games on any device without having to buy expensive dedicated hardware.

You don't own the content on Spotify or Netflix so are you skeptical of those services too?
