I’m conflicted. I like Mando in the episodic form and also this may mean more executive meddling. Hopefully Favreau will swat them away though.

why were people so pissed that Joel was killed?

Hopefully, they don’t do the “thing” and do you know what with ya know... cause if they do. Hooooo boy, this show is gonna be done after 2 seasons. You’re gonna see ratings plummet and people abandon ship.

I feel odd about this announcement. Like... I like getting more Star Wars movies on the big screen but that sequel trilogy..... woof. The Disney+ shows on the whole have been real solid so I’m kinda NOT excited for the prospect that a big budget film means big money and lots more people in suits fucking around

One of the strongest reasons for the film sinking I think was lots of balls being dropped with promoting the film. The largest of which was the ongoing strikes meant the film’s stars couldn’t do media blitzes. I had to remind my sister the film was coming out because she totally forgot.

I honestly don’t understand the incredible amount of hate Quantumania god. Like... just so much weird hate for a movie that was fun and fine. Yeesh

...missed out on the film this past summer.

...it’s like a release value of the awkwardness...

OOOOF Cheryl. Talk about a misleading headline that was going to make it sound like Stewart was trash talking the film. He’s actually just reflecting on how Covid changed shit for him in the last few years...

Fine I’ll say it. I LIKED The Eternals. Jesus fuckin cripes Io9 and other nerd centric websites have had a real hard on for shitting on that movie....

You know what would be hilarious? Cast Henry Cavill as The Sentry. Sure it would be a bit on the nose that the guy who played DC’s Superman is now playing Marvel’s evil Superman, but boy oh boy would it be GREAT.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it came down to scheduling conflicts of when this movie was originally supposed to film compared to now after everything that happened with the strikes this past Summer.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it came down to scheduling conflicts. As the strikes this past Summer pushed things all over the place.

So like a lesser Tim and Eric? Which personally I always found annoying and dumb. So thanks for the comparison.

Ok. But like... is it any GOOD ?

Although a bummer. 6 solid seasons of amazing comedy that never gets stale is quite the accomplishment. And also, I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point, they do a special etc down the road with the team.

The worst thing to happen to Dungeons and Dragons is also the worst thing that could have happened to Magic the Gathering. Hasbro’s top brass “noticed” Wizards of the Coast and started to interfere. It’s so hilariously obvious that Wizards is the victim of constant Hasbro meddling. Just look at the sheer volume of

Ya know... Into the Spiderverse is a really good and fun movie. Followed by, so far, HALF of a good sequel. But boy, IO9 sure does love to praise the first film as the second coming of jebus cripes. The amount of articles written for the series is... intense. I can’t be the only one that saw the second film, thought

I think their “plan” was one sheet of paper where JJ Wrote like 3 sentences for each of the 3 movies in a proposed trilogy with a release date for each. Then he erased and rewrote the first 3 sentences like 4 times. Then when they went to give the single outline sheet to Rian he spilled coffee on the second movie’s 3

Agreed on a lot of what you said. I’ve always said that Rian Johnson is a GREAT director but a bad franchise director. He’s really good at playing in his own worlds but he showed he’s incapable of building upon the work of others. He would have been a better choice for a stand alone SW film and not one movie in a
