Counterpoint: A great director in his pursuit of artistic vision forgot he was supposed to be making a fun space opera. So instead we got a weird movie that feels nothing like Star Wars except it has space ships and laser swords.

NO, because this is the internet and that’s now how this works...

The new trilogy suffered a lot from having no overall vision of where things were going. So in each film, they’re scrubbing away what came previously to fit the new film’s narrative. It’s weird and jarring to say the least.

My counter is I thought the overall message of TLJ was “Oh you liked Star Wars before this movie? Well Go fuck yourself, you’re an asshole for liking the previous films.”

I counter that both films are the same level of bad. Just in different ways. Which is kind of interesting that a franchise can shit the bed once and then follow it up with another bed shitting, only now instead of black adult shit, it’s greenish baby shit.

He goes on to describe how he imagined his chapter in the trilogy as a commentary on Star Wars itself,

Yeah, I thought exactly the same.

*shrug* Meh, I’m skipping this one.

Isn’t that most of the comics line up of A-Force? At that point, I hope they just make an A-Force movie.

Ok, glad to know I’m not the only one that thought the hair looked strange

Has anyone else been getting the distinct feeling in the past few months that this show is going to be a big disappointment?

It’s a man eating lion movie

I actually have been liking season 4 less and less as it goes on. I guess I was one of the few that liked season 3? I think I would have liked this current season more if it was just about the hosts taking over and didn’t have the massive 20 year time jump.

Whatever happens, wait a few years and they’ll get a new head exec and another big shake up. Happens so damn frequently with Warner

Quite good!

Hopefully, not related to the former dreadful head of Marvel, Ike Perlmutter, I hope...

I wanted it to feel far scarier, way more alien-creature-like, ferocious and feral.

Eentually, I think I’ll be interested in watching this show. But for now, the Dungeons and Dragons SDCC trailer has made me more excited then either of the new Amazon Rings trailers I’ve seen. Which is a real weird feeling.
