Two things:

I mean, if you’re gonna ask that. Then why do some people refer to the genre of TV shows produced in certain countries as  “telanovela” and not just lump it into “soap opera”? Because they are two distinct things even though on the surface level, they seem the same.

I can see why the show creators didn’t want to do Faye’s original outfit. Maybe the actress was like “Yeah, no thanks” or from the viewpoint that the one main female character they have, they don’t want to be critiqued on just her outfit choice. But WHY is there no Ed? That’s so odd to me. I assume they’ll introduce…

I feel like an “Adventures of Rocket and Groot” set of shorts would be great material for one shots  helmed by a variety of different directors. And placed before Marvel movies.

Black Manta and the actor who played him was some of my favorite things in that movie. Honestly, the actor’s charisma made me want a whole movie all about him.

Ya know... the more I think about this movie, the more I realize I’m Luke-warm to it. I liked it a lot more when I first saw it but as time goes on, I’m just kinda “meh” on it. Don’t really know why. I do think it felt about 5 fricken hours to long. That’s at least one thing.

Jokes aside. If they had doubled down on the Tela (sp?) story line and left Heman dead while she had to save Eternia, I would have given them a lot of credit for that gutsy and most likely suicidal plan. Ha ha ha ha ha

On Hamil as Skeletor: It was so bewildering to me that they cast such a name for their big bad and then used him so little in the first 5 episodes. Especially when all the promotional material hyped his casting up.

Part 1 was “fine” and entertaining. I was never a Heman kid myself. I was more Transformers/Turtles. So from the outside looking in, I get why the show garnered such nerd rage of Original Recipe fans. It was definitely weird that all I knew about the original show was barbarian dude with a sword fights a skeleton.…

I mean... i think myself a big comics writer and I didn’t know about this being a thing till now. Granted, I just read the comics, and don’t bother to much reading up on industry things.

At firs I was all “I dunno, doesn’t seem so bad if it was just a name he used” but then when I got to the elaborate crap like the interviews as the fake name? Hooooooo BOY is that messed up.
