“Darth Maul, back on his bullshit...”

Which is funny, because those movies were rushed into production because the studios were convinced that James Cameron’s The Abyss was going to be Aliens, except underwater, and wanted to get a leg up on what they imagined was going to be the biggest action blockbuster of 1989 (it wasn’t).

Fish was 37 when he made The Matrix.
Yaha is 33. So, young-ER Morpheus is more apt I guess.

Waititi’s performance opposite Pascal at this moment, who is pretending like he doesn’t care for the droid, and the droid explaining how he knows he does care, was another absolutely beautiful moment.

I binged the whole new season yesterday, pretty damn fun just like season 1. I’m baffled at times by the production values, they are near movie quality at times, like damn, that season finale had some money spent on it. My main complaint this season? The lens flare is getting out of hand, and we need more time with

I knew what it really was, but I was kind of hoping that you were going to say that the original Wild Wild West was streaming someplace.

The 90's TMNT movies definitely hold up: the animatronics are really good, and there’s a lot of character to the films. On the other hand The Wild, Wild West is crap from start to finish. The effects are awful, Brannagh acts like he really doesn’t want to be there at all, and the movie squanders the strength of the TV

The original Dr. Smith (Jonathan Harris) was really the only reason to watch the original series. Gary Oldman gave the role his typically excellent villain treatment in the 1998 film. But Parker Posey is brilliantly blazing a new trail.

I have great affection for this show. For one, I loved the original as a little boy and this, in some small way, let’s me be that young again. Also, family television isn’t normally my bag but it used to be the backbone of the medium and was like the audio/visual wallpaper of some many homes. It has been such a rarity

All I ask is for more time spent developing the Chicken as the three dimensional character and crew member she was meant to be.

Meh. I’m almost done and really enjoying it. It’s great world-building, science that isn’t dumb and FOR FUCKING ONCE protagonists who are just decent people who are intelligent and good at what they do and don’t have closets full of dark secrets.

It’s a great family show and there aren’t many of those anymore.  It’s got great, powerful female characters that kickass in many ways.  They’re all a bit perfect at times, but there are worse things.

Geeze, even the Tower Bridge lettering on his ‘shield’ was CG?!

AoS became a better show once it stopped planning its seasons around the obligatory tie-in episode that was supposed to reference what was happening in the movies.”

- So....Berlanti said that KC!Superman was the same as Returns!Superman, but given this episode, it honestly feels more like Injustice!Superman if he never went off the deep end.

it fits too, considering almost 40 years have passed.

Aykroyd is the youngest of the original 4 at 67, so he could easily have a 16 year old grandchild. He just shouldn’t in the same way that my nephew shouldn’t be old enough to have graduated college last spring.

Do you know why they used a grandchildren of an original Ghostbuster? Because I wouldn’t have felt nearly old enough had they only used his child.

Something people tend to forget about that first movie is its big Lovecraft energy. The whole idea of this terrifying inhuman realm just below the surface of everyday life.

I stand by Ewoks who eat their enemies’ dead as the cutest.
