Just watch documentaries from the time.

mmmh no? people in their 30s are still millennials

So is this the equivalent of “Never trust anyone over 30?”

At least Fantasy Island sounds like it may be better than the terrible Banana Splits horror movie?

Kudos for using a 1977 FX shot for the header rather than the cartoon that replaced it in 1997.

As you can see by how the SE turned out that scene was in no way shot as an FX scene. It was hard to do in 1997 with the footage that was shot and would have been unthinkable in 1977. It would have arguably been the most ambitious FX shot in the film.

To me, the major story of the series is how modern life makes it nearly impossible to be a “good” person.”

“No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die”? Um, Goldfinger. Are we talking about something else?

I doubt there are many E4s who have even heard of Goldfinger, much less seen it.

Came here for this. Not disappointed.

My only objection is that the genius of the MCU is that they built it without Spider-Man and the X-Men. I mean, the MCU is the 80's Justice League. It’s all B-listers and they made it the most fantastic series of movies ever.

There were people who saw Engame as their first Marvel movie and they seem to be fine.

I was pilloried for suggesting that very thing. Nice to know I wasn’t alone.

I’m with you. But this was a very unpopular take at the time.

They should have re-cast her. Let someone else finish what Carrie started. We lost Carrie, we didn’t have to lose Leia.

I know I’ve been waiting 28 years for someone to turn The Rocketeer into Doc McStuffins.

Fingers crossed for the big musical number, I’ll make a Mando out of you!

You know io9's given me a lot of reasons to leave, but I have stayed because I enjoy the community of commenters. If that goes away then I guess I know there’s a lot of nerd sites out there.

Firefox refuses to show me the comments.

The problem with Solo (I’m ignoring the “That’s how he got his name” part, that was retarded) was that people think it’s a “this answers questions about his back story” movie and not a “Han and Chewie get into and out of trouble at the height of the Empire” movie.
