I agree that “whites” are pretty interchangeable, casting-wise. So it’s not terribly far afield that so are “Asians” (meaning, of course, not Indian). I guess were it gets weird is what then is the criteria? Is it by nationality or just by looks?

I think his point was that these things were OK under a Democrat and will be again under another one. Just as executive orders were OK under a Republican, not OK under a Democrat, and OK again under a Republican. Nobody cares what’s done. They only care that their candidate is doing it.
