But... this is literally Mortal Kombat 1. It’s the first Mortal Kombat set in the new timeline splintering from Liu Kang becoming the Lord of Time. It’s a brand new beginning, and the 1 at the end clearly differentiates it from the 1992 game.

Going from playing Jedi Survivor straight to this game has been a nightmare because of the controls. Everything in Survivor just seems more fluid/natural. Zelda’s controls for combat and traversal get pretty frustrating, even after swapping the buttons in the menus.
