Did you work in my old office? Because it sounds like you did. I have more material if you need it for an article on office etiquette. :)

It's nature's way of making sure we can identify them from afar.

Well, you have a point there. :)

Yes, this. Good hydration and a layer of food in the belly prior to drinking works wonders.

I think if you accidentally eat cat vomit and the worst thing it tastes like is shoes, your day isn't so bad.

The Ryan Lochte thing makes me laugh every damn time.

I can only come up with two scenarios:

That makes two of us.

This is precisely why I hid things in the microwave, not the oven.

My mom's ex-boyfriend made that for us at least once a week when I was a kid. No liquid except oil. To this day, I will not eat it.

I didn't know you could buy them unlined. Were you supposed to have it lined, or was it intended to be decorative?

I made a Moroccan chicken dish with green olives and golden raisins once and it was awesome. But with beef? In a pot roast? Doesn't sound great.

I have heard this story, as well. Thanks for testing and reporting back; this it totally something I would try after a bottle of wine when the pantry is bare and I'm starving.

We had a similar incident when I was a kid. Mom kept a small canister of salt with the sugar and flour (I don't know why). A guest assumed it was sugar, dumped it in the sugar canister, then made us pancakes. She got him back next time he came over: she made him waffles with shards of broken glass (no one had noticed

I don't think that's how Cadbury eggs are made.

Food processor?

If she was capable of feeling embarrassed she would have crawled under a rock and withered away years ago.

I'm definitely an owl, but I think I was taking naps too late (usually around 6pm). Now that I'm working from home I need to get back in the habit of regular naps but move them up a few hours. Maybe I'll go take one right now...

I've found the busier I am, the less sleep I (think I) require. I figure it's adrenaline and caffeine. Working crazy hours, spending two hours a day running/lifting, visiting with friends every evening, have 18 craft projects going concurrently, etc? Can survive on 5 hours or less a night. Take a stay-cation? Cannot

Traffic jams: no good. Parking lot (presuming you are in a parking space and not idling at a curb): go for it.
