I woke up and read this story on CNN. It left me teary and angry. A young woman with opinions murdered by her own brother just for being a young woman with opinions. The waste, the loss... it’s hard to process. How does a society hope to thrive if it threatens half its members with murderous violence for the crime of

Well, the italian criminal code considered a man killing his sister, wife, or daughter because she tarnished his “honor” a mitigating circumstance until the 1980s.

MISOGYNY is poison and it kills women by the thousands every day. Take the fundamentalism away, you will still have misogyny. It finds a different container (viz Atheist bros). MISOGYNY is everywhere in every belief and non-belief system. It’s bigger than fundamentalism by far. I’ll die fighting this war and it won’t

I have a Pakistani but British born friend here in London. He’s 10 years younger than me. We live in different worlds. If you all lived in London I could name the neighbourhoods and you would know.

You mean, other than abortion clinic bombings, church shootings, forcing gay kids into conversion therapy that ends in suicides, and countless women forced to carry pregnancies that sometimes end in death to the mother? And before you tell me those aren’t “honor killings,” yes they are. All of these Fundamentalist

Brave and noble and martyred.

“Thought she was being overdramatic”.

On Monday I will be 53. I have an appointment for a goal-setting fitness regime with an incredibly hot and ripped instructor. I make that lady in the photo look like an Olympic diving champion. I’m going anyway. I fucking don’t care anymore. I want to get healthy. Please keep living your life like a diving champion.

She took the photo deliberately, and edited it deliberately, and hit send deliberately. That’s not a mistake. A mistake is when you do something by accident or without intent.

This. So much this. Whether she intended it as a private joke or intentionally posted it publicly, she violated this woman’s privacy in an huge way.

Is the “mistake” in this place showering in a place where some privacy is expected? Struggling to see who’s the mistake-making “good people” in this case...

This woman just kept A LOT of women who were insecure about their bodies from setting foot in a gym. She has been valued for her looks for so long, she probably has no idea that she made real someone’s worst nightmare. Exercising in public when you have body image issues is hard enough. Thanks for making it so much

What a horrible person. I hope that the woman whose picture was taken is doing okay. :( Such a foul fucking human, man.

Also, vaginoplasty is a thing. Because women with lush labia feel bad about their bodies and pay for uneccessary surgery to reduce their bits for a “tidy” and “youthful” appearance. All of this just makes me want to scream.

THANK YOU! I’ve been shouting that out loud (well, in my head) since I started reading this crap.

So much this. Labia come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. They do not get fucked into flappiness.

For real though, I’m mainly impressed with the attention to detail in giving that ham sandwich a clitoris.
