She’s not wrong. In some parts of the world the outcome of American elections influences the odds of a bomb dropping into your neighborhoodd. Though lately, it doesn’t matter, as the odds are consistently high.

You guys are really quick to shut down the dialogue of women of color.
No? She is a part of Voto Latino that’s a non partisan organization to help Latinos register to vote so she does typically go to the RNC and the DNC for that organization, but her own personal political beliefs have always leaned left.
As long as big money can influence elections, you can stop expecting a government that represents the interests of the people.
Fine for this movie, but not fine for a movie meant as a launching point for half a dozen others.
WB was counting on BvS to kickstart a Marvelesque business shift and was relying on BvS profits to plug a lot of holes from some big bets that bit them in the ass. They just came off of a shitty 18 months and had a lot of catching up to do. It’s not so much about one film making a “fine” amount of money.
I was so disappointed in the high opening weekend gross. It really deserved to play to empty houses.
I think the problem with franchises it does matter more. The amount of money put into PR, productions, longterm contracts with actors who get paid regardless if the franchise continues, etc.

Yeah, they’re doing good work. It’s almost impossible to attempt to read anything on The Guardian written by Lindy West, for example. She has such a dedicated following of haters for daring to, like, live and write that her columns are always inundated with bullshit. Especially if she dares to write about her…
Some of my Scottish friends say they’ve had more anti-Scottish abuse at the Guardian than the Daily Mail, which is an epic fail on behalf of the Guardian there.
You get a lot of assholes commenting on the Guardian because most UK sites you have to pay to see an article or they do not have commenting system. The Daily Telegraph just got rid of theirs, so you now how telegraph commentators coming over to Guardian and the telegraph is very right wing.
The comments on anything woman or race related are guaranteed to be a dumpster fire. Its amazing how out of whack the editorial stance and the readership are.
Just yesterday I was reading an article from The Guardian and I was dismayed at how many stupid and cruel comments there were (although mixed with people who I loved deeply for speaking truth and kindness especially when it meant going against the tide.) This seems timely.
The Guardian comments can be surprisingly vile ... not funny vile, like here, or cutting, just really really awful, like clever people with no sense of humor who only know how to be shitty.
He orders them from the catalog.
Given that he has dated so many VS models (I so had to resist the urge to put “dated” in quotes oh look I did it anyway), can you imagine how uncomfortable some of those shoots have gotten? Or backstage at the show? Also, how does he get set up with these ladies? You know he isn't meeting them at Starbucks or in the…
