Oh please, he was also driving to work after so he could have easily been in work mode already. But keep judging the poor guy, makes you look really good.

I don't know why anyone would think this is unforgivable. If something leaves your awareness, it just does. That's not really something you have much control over. I've had memory issues for years.
I like this idea, just put anything that you use daily next to your kid and you'll never forget them again.
This is truly horrible. My thoughts go to this father, who must be going through a hell no parent should face.
Nope, being human with a brain makes it happen :( . The people who this *happens to* do not suck, they are loving and devoted parents who for well known, scientifically established reasons COMPLETELY forgot their child was in the car.

He probably did think about the baby. He probably thought about the baby being at daycare.
Leave your phone, your purse or your wallet next to the kid, in the back. Leave a bear or plush something in the passenger seat that you then sit in the car seat when you take the kid out.
I accidentally killed a rabbit 23 years ago. I still haven't gotten over it. He will probably move on but I seriously doubt think he will get over it.
It's not a matter of "forgetting" your child. It's about how your brain plays tricks on you when you fall into a routine. I've never gotten in my car and started driving somewhere and then realized, upon getting there, that I didn't remember the drive. My brain just doesn't work that way apparently. But most people…
The article is incorrect...there are several instances where children have been left for more than several minutes in the past few years...it is heartbreaking but we cannot pretend that it does not happen due to work and family stress when the status quo, that is regular schedule, is compromised, the parent who is in…
They should make an app or a device that reminds people of a child in the backseat. I can't imagine how he will feel for the rest of his life.
This has broken my heart. That poor baby! And I can't even imagine what the parents, specially the father, are going through. I feel so sad for them and the whole situation.
I can't imagine the unbearable pain the father is in. Unfortunately, its not something that happens due to negligence, it's more due to how our brains can go into "autopilot" and forget seemingly important things. I wish we could figure out a fool proof way to stop it from happening, some sort of censor that might…
The best part is that Jonathan is a real hairdresser here in Los Angeles! He really does love GOT and essentially did those recaps with his clients. He's either friends with someone at FOD, or they just happened to hear about him (can't remember which) and they were all "Do this for FOD!"
THAT ENDING. Oh my gosh. I am dead. Of laughter. So perfect.
I'm actually one of those people. FINISH THE BOOKS ALREADY GRRM.
Gay of Thrones is my favorite episode recap. Holy crap this was amazing.
Cue: how dare that old man with the high BMI do anything other than write? :)
"I think part of being a strong woman is owning the decisions that you've made in your life,"Bolotow told me. "Trying to put the onus onto someone else for your own decisions is really cowardly and kind of dishonest."
