To pay off victims, to locate future victims, whatever. I read the story where he abused Richard Dreyfus’s son while Richard Dreyfus was in the same room with them not noticing, and it suddenly reminded me of that scene from the first season of House of Cards where he makes Kate Mara call her father while he’s going

Glad they did this. I imagine just the existence of that foundation, where many young kids went to explore their talents with supposedly trusted adult actors only to become survivors of various levels of sexual abuse, causes great anxiety and pain for them. I hope this is seen as a positive step forward and

Ooh, Shazam would have been perfect (and maybe still could be, at least as a voice acting role) - he’s shown he can nail aw-shucks innocence in Blast From the Past (+George, +Dudley, etc) as well as the heroic stuff!

I mean, he would make a good George Reeves-type Superman, but I can totally see why they went with Brandon whatever and currently Henry Cavil.

Sorry I haven’t been around as much. I was having tech issues with kinja. I finally fixed them. I have been going through something. On Christmas Day, I had to have emergency surgery to have my appendix removed. It happened so fast.

I’m not completely surprised at this. In organizations where women are not in positions of leadership and where women cannot make substantive change, this garbage behavior has a higher chance of occurring. There’s literally no one around who can tell these men to knock that shit off.

I know white girls who haven’t been kept safe. I know white girls who have had nowhere safe to live, and who have not received assistance as minors while living with sexual abusers because the alternative is homelessness, where they will also be raped on a regular basis in shelters and on the streets.

For the Tina Fontaine case they were unable to determine cause of death, there was no DNA evidence to link Cormier or anyone else to her death. The case against him was entirely circumstantial and while it is likely Cormier is guilty, the jury must convict beyond a reasonable doubt. Likely isn’t good enough.

Jesus, this sentence you wrote sums up the problem with policing, especially when the officer and victim are a different race. Just to amplify it:

To clarify, Tina twice gave the police fake names during that traffic stop. She eventually told them her real name; when asked why she lied, she answered that she thought she might be “in trouble” with the police (she had taken off from the hotel where CFS had placed her).

Agreed. He might have been better suited for, say, Wonder Man (which Nathan Fillion is aptly cast as), or perhaps Moon Knight?

MC Chris (he did quite a few different voices on Aqua Teen Hunger Force and some other Adult Swim shoes) came forward with his story yesterday after reading Brendan’s account.

It’s depressing if the sexual assault played a major role in the “downfall” or at least decline of his career as the guy was bloody good and is still the only one at the top who manages to play that goofy action-adventure type so well (just like how Cruise is known for running and stuntwork). So many of his

The Fraser story of having a man grope him is so specific, and told with such squirming discomfort and embarrassment, that it’s kind of hard not to believe. It seems to have had a profound effect on someone who was feeling vulnerable, and that’s a hallmark of assault - the kind we have long expected women to just

Team Fraser.

Really there’s two schools of thought that make sense

“Some are true and some are false.

“There is no recovery for someone falsely accused.”
