Reality is the original Rorschach.
Reality is the original Rorschach.
Just what I was thinking!
Ah—indeed it would :)
Now I have to find that card game. All the same; Fnord!
People who test higher on IQ tests are better at whatever tasks and/or knowledge the IQ test is based on. Traditionally this means that higher IQ scores are good predictors of better academic success. i.e. people with high IQ's should be capable of getting higher grades in school, all things being equal. But…
I'm not a fan of the symphony of science stuff either. Never met an autotuned track I liked.
Me neither.
The problem isn't the potential for enhancement technology, the problem is that we live in a society where people are hell-bent on "winning" some kind of ridiculous social contest... enough that that they'll demand their employees' Facebook passwords, dictate much of their employees' lifestyles (such as mandatory drug…
That's certainly another way to do it. I hand-write a lot of my notes and things; but it might become a problem if I do get going on a roll, because I can't handwrite as fast as I can type.
Woah. Now don't get me wrong... I adore Firefly, and I'll totally check out the special if I can. But no power in the 'verse can make me like these "songs" composed of auto-tuned speech samples. They make me want to kick someone into a ramjet engine.
Thanks—I'll try that too!
Yeah—whether or not I even make it to 50k, if I can learn to just let the words flow without pausing to edit, I'll be happy this time around.
Thanks! I'll work on doing that. I got stuck at one particular place; maybe I just need to move on to the next scene and not worry so much.
Thank you! I'll look into it, and will look you up when I join. :)
Thanks—I'll try those suggestions. :) Write or Die sounds like an ideal option.
Hmm... I'm not on Twitter, but that might be a good reason to join.
Oh heck yeah. Star Trek and Star Wars, of course. I really identified with Spock as a kid; and it's easy to ignore the feudal overtones in Star Wars when you're 8, and just focus on the chivalry. Then there was Lord of the Rings, and Dune, talking in turn about courage and wisdom, and in the latter case, strategy. …
I like that suggestion... unfortunately I don't know any other aspiring writers in my area at the moment. But I'll give it a shot when I find one. Thanks Eridani :)
It's more that I edit sentences as I go, rather than previous chapters... so frequently get stuck mid-paragraph. It's a bad habit (you don't want to know how long it takes me to write an important email, or even craft a comment here).
