Usually the sunlight will wake me up, if I've had enough sleep... which is probably 2/3 of the time. I use Rise on iOS for the simple fact that it can very gradually fade in the alarm—normal, jarring alarm clocks seem to be designed to induce early morning heart attacks.

Wake-On-LAN is huge. I've been waiting for this feature for a long time. Huzzah! Now I can access my computers not just from my own network, but from anywhere without having to leave them on 24/7!
