Malaise isn’t about a lack of power, but a lack of enthusiasm. And that’s certainly coming.

Automakers are loving this big electric surge. Simpler manufacturing, power by code, and they can charge just as much or more as they did when cars were interesting.
Taking a shot in the dark here: Is it an F-150 with a weird grille?
Eastbound would definitely give him more time for a run-up, but I drove by yesterday and all the bark was gone from the east side of the tree.

Holy WHAT. This is right by my house. I drive this road every day. Heck, I probably heard the sirens the other night. SMP is straight for a few blocks leading west to that point, but then there’s a fairly sharp curve to the left. It’s a broad, 4-lane road, and would be empty at 3am. My guess is the driver fell asleep…
Oh, sure. Some people definitely do. But how many fancy brand names of aspirin can you name off the top of your head? Can you remember any of their commercials? Their features? This leveling out of all cars will inevitably lead to a lack of brand identity. There might be a few names at the top that people choose over…
Yeah, we moved past audio ads in cars. This is a horrible step backward.
Great. Something else to drive up the price of older cars, which are the only ones worth owning anymore.
Hold up. That actually HAPPENED? I remember reading about the idea years ago when FE was still in the planning stages, before I tuned out and started scrolling past all FE news. Glad to see I didn’t miss anything.
People are either tricked into buying one name (the best-known name, Bayer in this case), or they buy the store brand, which is FDA-regulated to be exactly the same thing.
I quite like that. It looks like a concept from the late ‘80s. And that’s a good thing. They really should’ve given it a manual, though, for a closer tribute.
Balls. The best cars (pre-2005ish) are already getting too expensive and rare. This will only make things worse for those of us who actually enjoy driving.
Those are three different medications. You’re proving my point.
I agree with the editor about the clutch pedal. This isn’t a hypercar. I don’t care about gaining .03 seconds with a faster shift.
Because cars were cool in the ‘80s.
Inductive charging will be a big step. Building solar-paneled canopies over many of the roads (which would also cut down on weather-related road wear) would be another. For materials they could use those turbine blades they keep burying.
Bingo. This is why automakers are pushing electric so hard. It’s going to bite them, though, when people start buying cars like they buy aspirin because everything is the same and there’s no more brand identity.
Since you have to be actual royalty to buy a home now, “tiny home” is just good marketing.
I wish people would stop chopping up rad old Festivas and start chopping up Nissan Versas and such.
