As someone who actually knows what the hell is happening, I can’t stop being bothered by the inaccuracies.

I was hoping it was going to be a bit more but it is basically just that. nothing wrong with that really. I mean I have looked up story seeds myself from time to time but I have never paid for it before.

So it’s a random encounter chart for DMs that can’t improvise or build a campaign of their own. Got it.

The problem with Cage’s games is he wants to tackle a ton of social issues, and doesn’t handle them delicately at all.

The problem with a website like kotaku is they want to use this to pretend Cage’s games are some kind of rape simulator collection.

Oh lord, yes.

You know what I want? I just want a computer adaptation of the D&D ruleset where you can drag and drop map objects to create a dungeon/castle/village/city/campsite in a couple minutes. That all the stats are handled automatically. And you just play the game without the DM having to spend dozens of hours preparing for

You’re not a true DM until one of your player draws on your grid map with a marker that doesn’t wipe off...

She certainly can! But, you know, just because she *can* doesn’t mean that writing an entire article that’s just about how much she hates something that other people enjoy isn’t kind of a jerk thing to do.

I’ve heard the parody argument before with regards to other anime, and it always come off as an excuse to get a free pass. Parodying a trope is a way to criticize it in some ways, but that criticism never amounts too much if the endless pervasive nature of fan-service never actually stops, and the parody just becomes

Given the lengths she went through trying to prove how anyone who enjoys this show is a perverted creep who likes jiggly boobs, the conclusion that “hey, maybe a handful of them genuinely enjoy its other themes” (you know, the thing Dragon Maid is actually about) certainly isn’t open-minded.

If you don’t like something that is fine but I have never understood the need to prove you’re “right” in disliking it and convince others.

there’s nothing inherently wrong with fan service. quit slut shaming dragon girls you victorian mussolini. jesus. just cause it’s not for you doesn’t mean it’s “problematic”.

This article reads more like a soapbox Tumblr post to voice your disdain than anything else. Thought you were better than this, Cecilia.

I started D&D on the first edition when I was twelve. I happen to be female. It was our habit to draw a representation of our characters and use them as screens so that other players couldn’t see your notes / character sheets. Myself and the other female player always drew our characters (not well) in the usual half

My reaction to the judgment of the mom is summed up by the Just World Fallacy. If I can find a way to blame the mom, then I don’t have to think about the fact that something like this could happen to my child.

No matter who you are if your sob story begins with “While attending Yale...” then no one cares.

To be fair, one of the people quoted is a chicano studies major. I just assume at the point you pick that as a major, you are martyring yourself financially and opting to waste your opportunity at a great school.

Lets define racism in this country by pointing out the struggle of the poor, poor students of YALE???? and “micro-agressions”???? Are you fucking nuts - while we have a prison system and ghettos teem with a violently and exonomically oppressed permanent underclass? This is just gross. Millions and millions in prisons

“What they and others disregard is the dangerous implication that minorities at Yale should feel lucky”
