She reminds me of my parents. They grew up in poverty and yet when they became successful they had nothing but contempt for poor people. It is just baffling to me how some people simply cannot empathize with the plight of others or at the very least, remember where they came from.

It really does not matter who gives the Republican response, what their words are, or how they say them. You could have a human-sized bag of flour just stand there for five minutes and Republicans would still praise it as giving a better speech than Obama. Partisanship and ideology make everything, including talking,

It works like this:

u gotta know when to hold 'em

More like I don't have the money to go there the year I'm paying for my own wedding.

Come the bridal shower, my sister sent the fiancee a gift: the bridesmaid's dress. Apparently it caused quite the stir when the fiancee opened the gift at the shower.

My cousin's husband delivered pizzas on the weekends, and I don't get the feeling that he was bringing in that much. Maybe someone with first hand knowledge can give more details, but, as a non restaurant industry person, 300 pizzas sounds like a lot of pizzas. Like roughly one pizza per minute. The comments on the Yelp page did NOT disappoint.

Justice is a dish best served with breadsticks.

It's not that awkward most of the time because usually people aren't dickheads and say keep the change before handing over the money, or just say like "Give me $3 back" or whatever. Making it even less awkward is how many people pay with a card so just have to sign a slip and put on how much they want to tip without

It is dickheads such as these that cause me to ALWAYS tip at least 20% unless the service was truly appalling. Chances are, some asshole has cheaped out on my servers tip at some point in the evening. My extra $$ may not make a huge difference, but I hope that it at least sends the message that not everyone is an

People like this are super ignorant and annoying. As a very young child I was extremely attracted to alternative culture. My first CD at 9 years old was Jagged Little Pill. My mom told me to skip the first song (I think it said "fuck"), and I did. Until I was like 19. I grew up to later listen to even more vulgar

um

Honestly, this is why we need teachers unions. I'm a teacher, and I can't even tell you all the fucked up shit that goes on. You wouldn't believe it.

I bet that the parents would just say it was the teacher's fault. That's what I've learned over the last 8 years as a teacher: everything that happens is my fault.

I love these.

It's the type of initiative and ingenuity you'll find in CEO's that run the largest corporations. These kids will go far.

Looks like they've made a clean getaway.

Uh, no, friend, the most disturbing thing about this story is that by 4th grade, none of these kids had ever learned a lesson that "two can keep a secret, if one of them is dead."
