Considering I don't get compensated for gas, or hardware that I need to do my job, that's not too far off from how it is. I don't get paid by the hour btw. $50-80 for a single visit is all I make (depending on severity of the problem), and I only do that a couple times a week, if that. So, yeah.

I'm not saying just blame the system. Protest, strike, stamp your feet, hell I'll bring the poster boards and markers and do it with you. Just don't tell me you're 'owed' something (tips) that by definition, is a gift. You're owed a living wage, not gratuity meant as an option for the customer to decide to give you.

Oh, I never take anything out on a mean/rude server other than not tipping. A couple times I've simply left without eating or paying while telling whoever is at the door that they need to fix their waitstaff's attitude.
