    @Educated_Hobo: I don't think it's a case of a species evolving twice in a similar fashion, I believe it's a case of a single species branching off and evolving at separate time periods under similar conditions, ala a subspecies of the original, simply in mildly different conditions.

    I really, really wish that I was in some sort of position at TNT, or even a CBS channel, to buy out Stargate Universe, throw money at it, and see it become a seven or eight season show.
