You haf rooind my expairiments for de last time, DeeDee!

They have a thing for people who want a good experience. It's called first class. That's no excuse for people in coach to be rude, but you also don't get to dictate to others. I wear a comfortable pair of jeans, a pair of crocs, and a tee shirt, because that ensemble is what gets me through security like greased

For the sake of the counterpoint: What do you care if I'm wearing my pajamas? How does that affect you? (Even if I agree, I wonder why it matters.)

If you just want *nix for development, you might as well just use a virtual machine like Virtualbox from Oracle. Super easy to set up and you can connect to it using ssh just like your production server. You can set up multiple "boxes" to match different production environments, and you don't have to worry about it if

I switched back and forth from Windows to Linux to Windows to Linux from 1995 until ~2006. I agree with your comment about the command line. I love *nix in general, but Linux didn't have the apps I wanted.

I don't disagree that exposure to a lot of fields is critical. My point is that knowledge and experience are everywhere, and can be gained now, not in the future for the highest price. The internet has made it possible to learn most things for free.

This explains why YT has been harassing me to link my YT account to my G+ account for over a year. HELLO THIS IS YOUTUBE CAN WE USE YOUR REAL NAME??? NO? OKAY I'LL ASK YOU AGAIN TOMORROW. It's been driving me insane. I don't use G+ and I don't want my name all over YouTube. Alas, it will probably be forced soon.

The other half of the glass is filled with air. The glass is always full, unless yo seal it in a vacuum chamber, in which case it's totally empty and you have very weird hobbies.

As an engineer, I find that a healthy dose of pessimism helps me evaluate the success of a project. If I can mitigate all of my negative thinking of "what if this goes wrong", then a project will have a much better chance to succeed.

i'm very pessimistic, skeptical, and pretty negative most of the time, so i made a career out of those worst-case-scenario attitudes: Software Dev In Test. i write programs that break other programs!

You eat a bunch of food between 1PM and 8PM?

This was pretty much my college diet, but with a lot of alcohol sprinkled in after hours.

I agree - I'm in HR too and I think though a company may say they want you to start right away, that's just them wishing and hoping. If you said "I want to respect my old employer and need to give them notice," they can't really argue with that - they would want the same thing from their staff, and if you didn't

yeah i think there really isnt a 'nice' way to kill something - other than maybe building that gas chamber but then youre that guy that owns a gas chamber and I dont wanna be that guy.

Just for the heck of it, I once plotted my performance evaluations versus time. It was a sawtooth wave. Every time it dropped corresponded with a new supervisor.

Anyone have clarification on the decapitation thing? I've done it twice, once on a mortally wounded chipmunk and once on a sticky trapped mouse. both times I used a sharp knife and a fast clean slice and the rodent stopped moving immediately. (I regretted the sticky trap time because it was a mess to get the goo off

Too soon...

Unless you're at LAX...

There are several obvious errors in the Infographic. The (tomatoes, cilantro) entry is blank, however the (cilantro, tomatoes) entry is red. There are several other inconsistencies in the (tomatoes, *) column, perhaps it is off a line? Similarly, the (sage, dill) entry is red, but (dill, sage) is blue. Perhaps a

Based on years of personal research, I find that the ideal time to have a cup of coffee is right now.
