It’s funny that there’s people out there that actually think you can protect your country without killing anyone. When those same people or their family members are affected by a terrorist attack, then they complain to the government, why didn’t they do anything to prevent it.

“The Bhagavathi elephant rampage of ‘16... Yeah, we covered it.”

An unmolested first-gen CRX? I don’t care if it’s on fire, $2550 is a NP. Somebody buy it before it gets stanced, yo.

From an engineering standpoint, it’s truly an impossible task. The details of the fix aside, the solution has to be designed, created and implemented in a test vehicle. Here’s where it’s literally impossible to accomplish this task in the given time frame, the accelerated 120,000 mile/150,000 mile durability tests.

They ZOOMED past the CARB’s silly ass “deadline” a few months back, afaik nothing happened.

If 5 years after you bought a new car, the manufacturer offered to buy it back for the exact same amount you bought it for, you would be absolutely insane to not take it. Especially if that vehicle was produced illegally, which, coincidentally has destroyed the resale value of said car. But you know, I must be some

Until March!

I know all about 23 hp, but mine’s at the crank. I’m sure my van weighs a bit less than the Chevette too so really, that’s a sad thought.

10 years ago, I left my mother’s house for the last time as a resident of her address. Her neighbor (in a very nice, semi-wealthy subdivision) had recently purchased a 70-something Chevette. I had assumed it was some sort of lark, but this guy bought it to drive it to work. Everyday. I worked near him, and would see

I suspect that the Chevette in the video made such little power because it was a 1.4L, not the 1.6L... AND it was Mátéd to a power-robbing 3 speed automatic. And I also bet the carb’s adjustment might also be a factor too.

My sister bought one of these crapboxes new. You know what, forget it.

This car is one of 500, it was actually an excellent hot hatch for the day, and the majority have already met their doom in the insatiable maw of The Crusher. There are examples that have been for sale/sold for more than this already. This is objectively a Nice Price and this car will continue to appreciate in value.

Two reasons only do I vote NP:

Is the price too high? Yup. Do I give a shit? Nope. Many a good and illegal times were had in a red one of these back in the 80's. Nostalgia says bend me over the hood and violate me. NP.

Fuck that price and all that, but sweet Jesus, I cannot believe my eyes! The condition of this thing is just incredible. I mean, stop and consider what we’re seeing here. The contemporary equivalent is as if someone bought a Dodge Neon SRT-4 in 2005, and didn’t completely fuck with the car by spray painting the hood

I know it’s a big asking price, and I really have no idea where the market price for these things is now, but...after the dark years of the 70s and sub 200 horsepower Corvettes, manufacturers figure out how to make power and meet emissions in the 80s, low miles, great shape, Shelby name, turbo four, like most

This is a super clean example of this model, but it’s too rich for my blood. Man, look at those seats though. Pristine. Always loved the amount of bolstering for an economy car of this era. It was unheard of. And they were on base model Omnis too.

I’m old enough to remember these cars well. They were terrible. A friend of mine had a 77' Chevette in high school and getting on the freeway meant you needed to make sure nobody was coming in the near future because the acceleration was basically non existent.

As a kid in the 60s and a teen in the 70s, I remember this car as the third car for many families. Mom kept the Vista Cruiser of course, and dad had a Monte Carlo or T-bird with a 350/454 or 351/390 respectively and then the Arab Oil Embargo and gas crunch hit. So instead of trading in, Dad would go down the
